Exploring Treatment Options
The L.A. Vein Center offers a number of different treatment options designed to address varicose veins, spider veins and various cosmetic issues. Some of our treatment options include:
Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is a minimally-invasive procedure that uses a special solution to force varicose veins or spider veins to close. During the procedure, the solution will be injected into your veins with a fine needle. In some cases, your surgeon may also use ultrasound imaging to visualize the vein and guide the needle.
Microphlebectomy
Microphlebectomy procedures are typically used for superficial varicose veins that are causing painful symptoms. This procedure, which is an alternative to the antiquated vein stripping option, removes the varicose vein from the body entirely through small punctures in the nearby tissue.
Radiofrequency Ablation
Another alternative to vein stripping, radiofrequency ablation eliminates varicose veins by delivering heat to the walls of the vein. To perform the procedure, your surgeon will use a small needle to feed a catheter into your diseased vein. The catheter will deliver heat energy, and the vein will close and blood will then redistribute through healthy veins.
Dermal Fillers
Whether you are dealing with embarrassment because of fine lines or you simply want your skin to appear fuller and more youthful, dermal fillers can help you accomplish your goal. These substances are injected under the skin to fill in wrinkles and add volume to the face. A number of different dermal fillers are available, including Radiesse and Xeomin.
