What is Minimally Invasive Liposuction?
- Posted on: Dec 20 2017
Many people today, both women and men, have certain areas of their body that they just aren’t happy with. Sometimes, no matter how hard you exercise or how careful you are to eat right, stubborn fat remains. The minimally invasive liposuction procedures at L.A. Vein Center are designed to eliminate those stubborn fat deposits without major surgery.
Who is a Good Candidate For Minimally Invasive Liposuction?
Minimally invasive liposuction procedures are ideally suited for patients who are healthy, and who are at a reasonably healthy weight. If you’ve been frustrated with your inability to lose fat deposits in areas like your belly, even after hard work, this may be the right procedure for you. Minimally invasive liposuction procedures aren’t meant for major weight loss, but instead for the removal of small stubborn fat deposits.
Where can Minimally Invasive Liposuction be Done?
Virtually any part of the body with stubborn fat can be a good area for this treatment, including:
- Upper Arms
- Double Chin
If needed, multiple areas can be addressed during the same treatment session.
How Does the Treatment Work?
Minimally invasive liposuction is done on an out patients basis while you’re under local anesthesia. Usually, a tumescent technique is used for fat removal. Tiny incisions are made in the treatment area, which allows Dr. Lee to put a laser fiber and melt the fat cells. The fat is then taken out of the body through an ultra thin cannula. Because the incisions are so small, they’ll heal on their own with no stitches required. Dr. Lee will discuss if laser liposuction is a good alternative for you and educate you on best treatment to achieve your desired results.
What is Recovery Like?
Recovery from minimally invasive liposuction is quite fast. You can return home after your liposuction procedure, and most patients feel comfortable going back to work within a few days.
